Hi I'm Liz Mahony.

From an early age, I found I had a gift for dealing with animals. I was drawn to them. I spent time watching them interact with humans and each other. Their behaviour fascinated me and I realised I had to find out more about them. In addition, my gift often helps me understand what's going on in an animal's  life.  I can't analyse or explain it - I just seem to know. That means establishing a connection with an animal, but, occasionally, as with humans, an animal puts up a barrier. And I must respect his choice not to communicate with me. However, therapies can help release his fear, anger, baggage, etc., if he will let me use them.

I studied for Diplomas in Dog Training, & Canine & Animal Psychology which are my foundation.

Becoming a Practitioner in TTouch & a Therapist in Essential Oils added a deeper dimension when dealing with animals presenting with all sorts of problems.

Some dogs need help to move on from their own phobias, behavioural, emotional or psychological problems. Resolving these issues takes a lot more than just straight dog training methods. By using therapies, I can reach in to help an animal. I do believe that I am the only behaviourist in Ireland who combines alternative therapies with positive training methods.

I'm finding it more & more important to bring my selection of oils, herbs and powders when I do a home visit to complete the holistic approach. All animals know exactly what oils, etc., that they need at any given time. Think of it: if you feel well in yourself, you are more able to deal with the stresses or setbacks in your life. Well, that applies to all animals too!
