Bernie (January '24) Hi liz just wanted to thank you for visiting us and helping our very lively 8 month old collie. He just couldn't seem to relax. As Liz described him he was "swinging from the chandeliers"! Eventually Liz was able to calm him down and then he was a different dog. With simple commandswe learned the basics. Our behaviour also had to change. Vinnie needed clearer instructions from us too. We learned the food was also an issue as too much protein. In 2 weeks he is a calmer dog and seems happier and relaxed. Us too! Training doesn't stop and we know if having any issues Liz is always on hand for any advice. Thank you again Liz Barbara (November, '23) 'I'm writing to thank you so much for your visit to Pearlita & me. I've already spoken to people about your work and recommended your talent and gifts. The fact that you work holistically is important. With thanks for your wisdom and knowledge. You change lives for the better and that's very valuable. I'm so pleased that we met you and your lovely girl, Saffron.' To: Liz Mahony <lizmahony56@gmail.com> Hi Liz, It was a pleasure catching up with you yesterday and to be the bearer of great news once again. As brushed upon we had shortlisted yourself in this year’s Republic of Ireland Prestige program for the category, Dog Training Company of the Year and you have been selected as this year’s winner! Congratulations again Liz. A great achievement as we rarely have winners recognised so consistently. I have attached this year’s generic winner’s logo for you to utilise. Below I have linked last year’s London Prestige winner’s publication which will provide a visual representation on how the 2023/24 Republic of Ireland winners guide will look once released. https://corporatelivewire.com/Awards/London22/London22.html Passcode: Lond070722 Martin & Jesse (July, 2023) Dear Liz. Sincere thanks for calling to us and helping us out. Having struggled to control our dog during the past year, it was amazing to see you analysing the problem so systematically and providing simple solutions so swiftly. It seemed to us that "you were speaking his language" and he responded to you. Since you left we have continued with your advice and it is like having a new well behaved dog! Thank you for all your help and for your enthusiasm and expertise. Natalie & Luna (April, 2023) Hello Liz, I just want to say how happy we are with Cara now Luna. She is so fantastic and we are so happy..... The cage works a treat and she doesn't mind it now. Her recall is pretty good. Luna is so gentle and sweet. She even has a dog Walker Mondays and Tuesdays when we are busy. No mess for a whole week. It made all the difference having you over. I’ve passed on your number to many and I was thinking that people who adopt animals from rescue centres etc can get overwhelmed like me and your number should be in those places. Thanks for all xx Joan & Daisy (September, 2022) Review: Liz identifies the crux of the problem immediately. Very informative session. We are most grateful for Liz's expertise and feel confident going forward with Daisy's training. J. Amberson & Harry (August, 2022) Harry was in Ahakista where he met loads of dogs and pigs. He did really well. A few barks but body language was good throughout. He is so settled and what you did for him has really allowed me to be supportive throughout. Thank you so much again. Trish o'Driscoll (Bandon) February 2022 I rang Liz because my parents were finding their beautiful new rescue dog difficult to handle. In the first minute I felt so reassured talking to Liz, she is a pure lady. She has empathy for and understands the foibles of both humans and dogs. She listened to all facets of the story with care and attentiveness. She came to my parents home and worked with Lucy and showed us within minutes how responsive and intelligent Lucy was. It was really impressive. She also followed up some weeks later to see how my parents were getting on. I cannot recommend Liz enough. She knows and understands the nature of dogs, and of humans. She brings kindness and simple routines to use to train your dog. Used with consistency you can build a great bond with your dog, and all is attainable. Maria & Gunner from Kinsale February 2022 Liz observed our partnership and was quickly able to identify the problem. By calming down myself and making my 6 month old lab focus on me (something I had failed to do up until then) I am now able to connect and enjoy training. Liz has an all embracing approach that covers everything from what my pup ate & his digestive system to walking on the lead, recall and the all-important “leave” for anyone else that has a lab . We have a lot of work to do but I now have the tools and the support I need. I would highly recommend Liz. REVIEW FROM JEFF (AUGUST 26, 2021) As soon as Liz arrived, she had a calming influence on our puppy and by the end of the session, there was a noticeable difference. We gained a lot of insights from her also and after following her advice, there has been a great improvement all round. I would recommend Liz highly. She is a natural. REVIEW FROM PATRICIA (AUGUST, 2021) I had a 4 month old pup who had a few behaviours like barking for attention, crying when alone and biting when annoyed. I was a bit overwhelmed and after a few enquiries I decided to contact Liz as she has a great holistic philosophy. The following week, she called out to the house and looked at my puppy's overall health, behaviour and environment and gave great practical advice which I could implement straight away. She emailed her report afterwards so I remembered all of her points and could read back over it when necessary. As part of her ongoing support, she was available for a phone call and emails over other behaviours which popped up as he got older which was a great peace of mind for me. By implementing Liz's advice on a daily basis, puppy is definitely calmer and better behaved and we have a better relationship as a result. I am very pleased and would recommend Liz for any dog problems, big or small. Thanks Patricia Jeurgen, Bantry area "Got an Old English Sheepdog as a puppy, which is two years old now. As it happens, she developed misbehaviours which I couldn't solve by reading books. Contacting Liz, was straightforward. Got asked to send description of the situation and details of the dog. Agreed an appointment , no long waiting. Liz arrived, analysed the problems and explained everything in detail. There was a very nice working atmosphere, straightforward and Liz gave it a lot time. Overwhelmed by informations she did send a page long report including every detail, offering further help if wished. A follow-up mail a few weeks later asking how things are. Based on my experience, I can recommend Liz very much, got endless tools to work with my dog. (If you like phone me, Liz got the number.) At the end it is your decision what advice you take on to change situations or leave things you don't feel important." (August, 2020) M. Kennedy in Cork ''Not having had a puppy before, we brought our 3 month old golden retriever puppy, Snowy, to one of Liz's workshops and followed this up with a visit to the house and a basic obedience class. My 12 and 9 year old boys attended the classes with me and we all learnt so much about how to train Snowy. Snowy is only 8 months now but we are constantly being told what a well behaved puppy she is. We believe it's because of the good start she got - Thanks Liz'' Lesley Lee in Macroom, Co. Cork "I first heard about Liz from a friend, I had just rescued a hyper Spaniel called Brandy, who was so excited he couldn't sit still for a minute and was also escaping at every opportunity. After Liz spent an hour with myself and Brandy she had trained both of us how to behave, and how to calm Brandy down when he got over excited. I have had Brandy for 4 years now and he is the perfect house dog. I phoned Liz again 4 weeks ago as I rescued a little Jack Russell dog who had only recently had a front leg amputated. Bean came to us with a lot of issues, he was aggressive with the other male dogs in the house, and was constantly urinating in the house. Once Liz had assessed him she told us that he had attitude and that we were making too many allowances for him, in light of him losing his leg. He was more than capable of walking and jumping up all by himself. As soon as the training started Bean got worse and we were demented by his behaviour but slowly his behaviour improved and he is making good progress. He is now a different dog, but we will always have to be firm with him, he is not allowed to do as he pleases and now knows the boundaries. Without Liz's help I can honestly say that both Brandy and Bean would have to have been re-homed as we have 12 other dogs and we could not have 2 dogs disrupting all the rest." C. Hayes, Kinsale, Co. Cork "I brought my dog, Susie, to puppy classes with Liz when she was just four months old. She loved class and learnt how to be a well behaved, social dog who is a joy to walk with as she loves meeting new people and other dogs. Liz also did a home visit with us to help sort out one or two issues we had and was really helpful making Susie the happy, friendly dog she is today." West Cork (Anon for security reasons) "Hi Liz, xxxxx here, I bet you never thought you'd be hearing from me so soon! But I just had to tell you that I have a completely different dog, He is now sitting on first command, laying down & rolling over, bar the odd hiccup which is only natural at this early stage. A man called to the house to-day, & I have to say it's the first time ever since he started to get aggressive that he actually retreated when I shouted at him. This is amazing I am thrilled & I believe with patience & time we will get there, I want to thank you for all the information advice & support. I'm pretty much in shock that we've achieved so much so fast, & I can almost hear you saying not to get ahead of myself ! which I'm not I know I've a long road ahead, prior to this it was like banging my head against a brick wall & just couldn't get through to the dog, when you pointed out my mistakes I hadn't realised I was even doing them. He is very keen on the oils so I'm giving them to him twice a day, usually he's outside chewing & playing with a watering can along with the children's toys' to-day he's so placid & has only played with his own things. Again thank you & I thought you'd like to know." REVIEW FROM AOIFE (June, 2021) We contacted Liz to help us train our young boxer pup and the help and advice she gave us has been invaluable. With some simple but effective changes and a better understanding from our side, we were able to train and in addition bond even more with our puppy with absolutely no stress involved. Liz is extremely knowledgeable in dog behaviour and training. Some time after I contacted Liz again relating to a medical condition that our pup had inherited and she immediately offered very valuable advice on nutrition and exercise. I simply couldn't recommend Liz highly enough, and I am so delighted I found her and know that she is there for the any future needs. All these email testimonials can be checked for their veracity. |
