CHOOSING & USING ESSENTIAL OILS
Essential oils help animals that are stressed, have damaged psyches from injury, abuse, ill health, etc. The oils are extracted from the plants on which animals would normally self-medicate in the wild in order to heal themselves. Problems that can be helped with oils: aggression; fear aggression; barking; anxiety; hyperactivity; lack of concentration & focus; separation anxiety, & many more. Did you know that dogs may show aggression if they are unwell? If offered oils, they automatically choose the oils that will ease their pain and restore their natural good humour. Or the oils can be used as a pointer to the dog's wellbeing. If you suspect your dog may have some sort of problem, choosing the right oils for him might be just the answer, helping him back to his zest for life. N.B. It must be stressed that all alternative therapies are not a substitute for veterinary care but can be used in conjunction or even help to relieve minor ailments. By testing through Kinesiology or dowsing, using the animal’s energy, oils are picked & diluted in a carrier oil or spring water, & then administered. Animals sniff, lick or may indicate they want a specific oil applied to some part of their body. The results can sometimes be immediate. An even more powerful method of using the oils is to give animals the opportunity to choose the oils they need for themselves. I will bring a selection and let the animal make his own choice. It also allows, you, the owner, to get to watch which oil he/she needs. It never ceases to amaze me with what speed they can work & how clever animals are in choosing the oils they need at a certain time. Animals are far cleverer than us. Left to themselves, they instinctively know what plants will bring relief or cure them. In domestic situations, they no longer have access to these plants. I bring the oils to them so they can intuitively choose those that they need. I'm finding that many animals need the help of essential oils in order to move on from their 'emotional baggage'. It is so simple. I can bring the oils; offer them to the animal & then watch them work. These oils can help any animal: dog, cat, horse, farm animal, zoo animals. I've just had a real challenge with a male Staffie rescue dog. He's a beautiful, friendly dog and jumped all over me at first meeting. But he's an odd mix of problems: one moment snuggled up to his owners; the next he opens the door and goes to sit by himself in the dark, refusing to come out. One moment content to be in his owner's van as he goes to work; the next tearing the van apart despite the fact his owner is in full view! One moment happy to come in to the house; the next stubbornly refusing to come inside even ignoring bad weather. First of all, I chatted with the owner about a training routine and how to respond to his 'odd' behaviours. Then I let him choose the oils. The ones he chose corresponded with his behaviour: emotionally shut down, anxiety, depression. His owner was amazed. That session helped but he felt he wanted further help. So I conducted a test for oils for his dog. But this time, they went into a carrier oil for long-term use. The three oils chosen were still along the same lines as the previous ones meaning his problems are deep-seated. That test was done about 3 weeks ago. I texted his owner two days ago to see how things were. His reply was most encouraging: ".... is doing great. He is more relaxed and seems to be past his depression now. He hasn't chewed the van for a long time now. We've definitely turned the corner with him and I think we are understanding him more and he is learning how we want him to behave. Thanks for your help and guidance." www.corkdogtrainingclasses.com or on my mobile: +353-86-3991599 if you have further queries. |
